Harbinger
I'll be replacing my t-bars since I finally got the old ones out. Haven't found any good threads detailing the differences between the different options, so here I am. Thoughts on Calmini T-bars vs Sway Away? https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/nissan-pathfinder-torsion-bars-by-sway-way-1987-1995-p-3880.html?osCsid=bm591ev20a8f575f7p5nm9f004 http://www.purenissan.com/hd_torsion_bars.htm They both offer 20% higher spring rate I thought AC's were just rebadged Sway Aways, but they say they have a 30% increase? https://www.4x4parts.com/nissan/pathfinder-torsion-bars-p-94.html Thanks guys. ahardb0dy
They are probably all made by sway a way, I would stick with the sway a way bars. Was just on the sway a way site and it says their bars have a 20-30% increase over stock..
Precise1
Hey Bud, I've lost track, but are you adding a lot of armor and/or winch? What has made you decide you need new T-bars? B
Harbinger
No armor yet, but I'm going to school for metals fab so it is planned. Mostly I have the bars out for my tranny swap, and with the corroded splines I figured what better time to upgrade.

That was my excuse, I had the transmission out to replace the pilot bearing so y put the old ones back. I got the sway aways and love them! This old pathfinder rides better than my newer titan. The ride on small bumps like washboards is a little rougher but not much. It soaks up the big bumps even better than before, I may have to try jumping it again! It handles the large bumps well even with my extra 200# of bumper and winch in the front but the ride is still smooth enough that no one would know it's not factory. andreus009
I have sway-away and they came from AC. Just checked my old orders with them. Dont forget your dust boots
Precise1
Ok, just wondering. Not trying to talk you out of them or anything... My current spring rate feels about like what I want with the ARB up front, but we'll see what happens when the winch goes in. I don't see the T-bar replacement as a significant job though, especially if it's been done recently. B
