I have a dumb question I thought I could answer by looking around on the web but haven't found a definitive answer.

On the 5100 series shocks does the shock body go on the top or on the bottom? I swear looking at pics online I see them both ways so I'm not sure if it matters....

Thanks :blond:

Whatever fits. The cap side usually goes on the top so it doesn't collect any water. Therefore the shock body should be on the bottom. Mounting shocks upside down should not affect their performance but if rusting goodies get inside the shock body, your shock will not have a long life like it should.
