theexbrit
Anyone put an XJ winch bumper on an R50? I like the look of this bumper, it's not as clunky looking as the ARB or the TAG winch bumpers. Specs say the XJ Cherokee is 70" wide & the R50 is 72" wide, so I'm thinking a little cutting might be needed, but I think it should fit if you make some new brackets..... http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-xj-winch-bumper_1057.html
stioc
Another option would be the WJ (Grand Cherokee) bumper. I like the idea of using these bumpers for the same reason you mentioned i.e. not so clunky and a whole lot cheaper too. Yes it will require some custom trimming, extension etc but it's not a big deal provided you have the right shop do it or know someone with good welding skills. To me the slightly tricky part will be the brackets that attach the bumper to the frame since I don't know what the frame looks like but even that shouldn't be too bad.
