Terrano: what is this?

Recommended Posts

I was hoping someone could help me identify where this vacuum line leads.

and can anyone tell me what the little device is that the vacuum line attaches to in the picture? I cant seem to identify it.

right now the vacuum leads to a little plastic stud that is attached to my fender.

the plastic stud is just blocking the vacuum line to prevent a vacuum leak.

i'm sure its not supposed to lead here. it doesnt make any sense.

i thought it would go to my fuel injection pump (i have a Bosch VE), but i cant seem to see where it should conect to on it, and my TD27T FSM has a pretty detailed chapter on the Bosch VE, and i dont see this vacuum line anywhere.

here's my pic: (remember i have a RHD vehicle)

the vacuum line in question is on the LHD side of the picture. and the little device it connects to is in the rear RHD corner of my engine bay, near my brake booster.

thanks for the tech guys.

Text is a tad small, it says;

These two are tied together with a Y joiner, the other end goes to the back of the brake booster in the next picture.

The green /yellow striped hose on the L/H (fender) side of the booster goes to the Y join in the above picture.

Nice!

thanks man.

my EGR system is removed, so i guess i can remove this hose too.

My EGR is all gone too, but I have a sneaky feeling this is separate to it?
