headpeace
OK, my driver side front wheel is squeaking off and on. It squeaks while going slow like when slowing down to stop or going like 10 mph. It seems to go away if I apply the brakes most of the time, and I don't hear it at all on the highway. I pulled the wheel off and investigated last weekend, I thought surely its the caliper slide pins sticking - nope. THe pins were in great shape still nice and lubed. The caliper where the pads slide in (at the top and bottom) was real dirty so I cleaned all that junk out and put everything back together. THe squeak disappeared for a day but now its back . If it's not sticky caliper pins what else should I check??
adamzan
How much brake pad do you have left, and have you ever repacked your wheel bearings? I had a set of pads that squeaked when they were 3/4 worn out and when I changed them the noise went away. headpeace
pads looked good, still at least 3/4 left. Would bearings squeak like that?
