Guest javven
OK, I'm totally new here and don't own a Pathfinder yet. I'm looking v. seriously at one currently. First - HELLO ALL The truck in question has 233K on it. No leaks / drips from anywhere. 5sp trans, V6 (which I'm told is v. desirable in this vehicle). I've owned a Frontier. Took it places... well... heh. You know. 4WD in Alaska. Nuff said. Anyhow - just wanted to say hi and thanks for any advice on this truck. I don't know any more about it currently. Going to look at it tonight or possibly sunday. Thanks

Guest javven
Oh, heh. It is. 94% public land? Maybe more? Snow-wheeling's a lot of fun. Cleaner than mudding and a little more forgiving. If you break something though you'll curse the day you were born unless you can drive home broke. Nothing like swapping an axle at -20F out in the sticks. vengeful
Welcome... I'd love to see some pics of your former Frontier snow-wheeling if you got any. How'd that Pathy check out? Good luck on the search. 230k miles is pretty decent for a Pathfinder. I've heard of some going over 300,000, and some 720s hitting 500k. It's all how it was maintained. Good luck again...and welcome.
Guest javven
TMI maybe but somewhere there's a pic of me driving my Frontie across the bottom of a river. Dressed in my boxers. In shock, sitting on the windowsill (when I was lighter and could get away with such), water up within 3" of the doorhandles, using a $1700 shotgun for the gas and a military entrenching tool for the clutch. The water was too cold to sit in, and I was in shock after waking up one morning in camp to find my Frontie downriver, on the other side from where I parked it. Never park on riverbanks - esp in heavy rain. She drove right across. Destroyed the interior, radio, fan, spks but the rest dried out OK. Even the ABS computer was alright - surprise. My bro took a piccy but won't give it to me. Bastage
