Picking a replacement tire

I am thinking about the following tires and was hoping that folks could let me know what their experiences have been.

I am going to be driving over long distances with snow and mud but no heavy off roading activities.

These would be placed on a stock 2003 SE on the original rims at P255/70 R16.

Thanks.

Goodyear Wrangler Radial RT/S

I would suggest the Pirelli Scorpion AT (All Terrains). They are good if you do mostly highway driving with capability of some light off-road use when you need it. I'm saving up for a set of the Highway All-season version of it for my pathy. You can check them out at www.tirerack.com

I have 255/70/16 Cooper Discoverer AT II 's and am very happy so far. Road noise is low and from what i can tell (from carreview.com) lots of other people are happy with them too...from the small amount of off roading I have done they seem like competent tires...I know they are great in wet conditions!
