SES codes

Recommended Posts

My SES light came on today :headwall: ..... took it into my auto class and the codes P0325 for the knock sensor, and P1447 for my EVAP System.

So I was wondering how much time and money do you think it would take to fix both of these??????

Don't bother with the knock sensor code. That one doesn't trip the SES light, doesn't seem to really have much benefit unless you use REALLY crappy gas, and it's quite extensive in labor to replace it.

The 1447 EVAP code could be due to any of:

clogged EVAP lines

EVAP canister purge volume control valve stuck closed

EVAP canister purge valve stuck closed

EVAP canister purge control solenoid valve

damaged EVAP canister

Absolute pressure sensor malfunction

MAP/BARO switch solenoid valve

Hi read through this

It is a how to replace, but you can also check the state of your EVAP system in about 15 minutes buy following through it.

Had the same issue turned out my canister was completely shot.
