NissanNismoZ Posted March 22, 2011 Share Posted March 22, 2011 so iv done the self diagnosis from the ecu. and everything checks out, code 55 no malfuction. has anyone had the check engine light flickering probleem?.. i have no clue what to do now..any help would be thankful..lol what i would do is reset the codes, by either pulling the negative cable for a few minutes or using the ECU (resetting via ECU would be best, as it wouldnt have to go through the re-learning process..) and see if it comes back, if it does then..someone else may have a better answer than i do..after all i am still a noob-ish. JackStraw1 Posted March 24, 2011 Share Posted March 24, 2011 Agree with above. I just had this happen in my '94. Turned out I was still in diagnostic mode 3. Everytime the red LED flickers as part of the 55 code your CEL will flicker too. In my truck I clear the codes by going from mode 3 to mode 4 while the ignition is on as per the FSM then turn off ignition. Cured it for me.
