Lije
I just had a quick question about my sun roof. I got my Pathfinder a couple of days ago and today was the first day I drove with the sun roof open. I noticed that when I got above 30 mph, the wind started whistling really loudly. My question is, is there any quick fix to make this stop? I enjoy the fresh air but it's not worth dealing with the loud noise. Any aftermarket products that would stop it? Or is it just something I have to deal with?
thehuntersam
There are those 2 little black flaps you can put up but besides that I know of nothing really.. You could put a plastic wind deflector thing in front of the sunroof.
PivoArch
I found the whistling to be coming from the cross members of the roof rack, I just pushed mine all the way to the back and I don't hear whistling anymore.
spazman
Yeah what he said, I pushed the rack and all the little black crossbars all the way back, then realized I never use them and took them off and that got rid of even more noise. So take the bars off it cuts down on a lot of wind noise. I have the crossbars on my 06 impreza and the only way to get rid of the whistling was to take them off. The take all but 2 minutes to put back on if you need them.
