snow4me
Some of the pics on here of these trucks and the suspensions all wacked out of shape are just great! Are these trucks running front and rear sway bars??? Do you need longer rear shocks to get that kind of travel? I am just amazed at the distance between the wheel openings and the tries on some of the trucks when off road. Awesome! muddfildvaynes
I run a front sway bar with upgraded stronger links, and no rear sway bar for the last 3 years. Yes in order to get the kind of travel you see in these flexed out pics you must have longer shocks but no too long so ur spring comes out unless you want to make a spring retainer. 01silvapathy
X2 on longer shocks, the extended length on my shocks is 36in. Flex is ultimately limited by shock length then length of the rear control arms Im 6'3 tires are 33's for refrence Video..pretty much full flex at 1:40-2:
snow4me
It's looking more and more like I should piece my kit together. How do I pick an extended length shock? I don't want to be a burden asking these types of questions but I have not found a lot of info about the rear shock selection for our trucks. As it stands right now unless I'm instructed differently, I'm going to start to purchase the following. KYB GR2 front struts, AC coils, KYB strut boots, Nissan mounts and bearings, 1.5 inch front spacers and some 33's. Probably going to eliminate the rear sway bar so I have to pick a rear shock. Am I forgetting anything? Thanks!!!
