unccpathfinder Posted February 13, 2011 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Basically I got the gf a nook color and it runs the android os but Barnes and noble is running their own limited marketplace That sucks...I want something for GONE to post videos and surf the net that's bigger than my phone...so I was thinking of getting another nook and rooting it so I can run things like Google maps and other android apps... The steps are easy enough but was curious if anyone has successfully rooted or if they bricked their nook...I just need to figure out how to backup the current os so I can revert if I have problems... silverton Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Nook? never heard of it, guess I'm not as big of an android nut as I thought I was. Is it similar to the kindle? Just follow the instructions you find to the T and you should be okay.
