ChuckSten
Hi, Since I will never use the roof rack, I would like to remove it. Granted, the advantages are very small, but they will add up over the next ten years. Noise reduction, less wind resistance for better gas mileage, easier to wash, cleaner look, and less to rust. Remember that I'm saying that pluses are tiny, but cumulative. Is it difficult to patch up the resulting holes in the roof? nunya
I don't personally know how a roofrack is setup on a 2011 but if your lookin for less wind noise and the minute mpg gain why not just take the cross bars out and leave the length wise rails? No holes to fill and you get your pluses you were looking for. Just my too scents
skulptr
yeah just take the cross bars off. all they are is bolts with big knobs on them. but the rails are bolted straight into the sheet metal, with torx bolts. not worth taking off. i took my cross bars off, only took a few minutes.
