Limited Slip clutch pack.

I was wondering if anyone has changed out a clutch pack in their LSD rear end and how hard was it. I had a 69 Chevy truck and I had to pull the axles and differential assembly out to change my seals so I've messed around some with differentials. Any thoughts or opinions? I'd love to just slap a locker in but...eh... I don't have grand for an ARB Locker.

Also, does anyone know of a good body lift kit?

It'll be pretty easy since you got an idea what your doing.

First pull the axles and then pull the 3rd member.

Mark your carrier ajustment (BIG threaded ring on each end housing the bearings) and remove the bolts on each end and pull the LSD out.

unbolt the lsd and inside you will see the clutch packs on the side gears, add an extra spring or plate or disc and re-assemble. You may have to discard the side keepers to get this to work.

The stock LSD on the wd21 is pretty tight; I added one disc to each side and it was chirping tires arround sharp turns. One of my daily sharp turns is downhill off of a bridge flexplate and gets iced over in the winter. Having my diff that tight chirp no matter how slow you are going would send you across the intersection. So, for tire life and potential safety I took the disc back out I will have it machined down some and try again at a later date.

Now, no ice, offroad perfomance, bigger tires or better tires, you shouldn't have any issues like mine.

If you search you may find some pics of ppl who have done this. Good luck cause the search engine doesn't like 3 letters or less (LSD)
