  1. I have got to do something mine is kinked, starting to cause over heating problems. I did a 3 inch body lift. I hate it...using a radiator drop down bracket would've helped I suppose.
  2. Wooow this things is awesome! Cant wait to check it out!
  3. sweet, I'll check that out for sure, thanks B. I'll let you guys know if I figure anything out.
  4. It doesn't seem to make any difference with O/D switch on or off. I was afraid it was clutches or T/C...sooo much money...
  5. No Metal flakes, The stock cooler is bypassed, There is no aftermarket filters, and reverse is good, may take a second to get in it but it seems normal.
  6. I haven't changed the transmission fluid, leave well enough alone there. Yes, I have a transmission cooler No, the ecu shows no error codes.
  7. Should have put that in there...Fluid is good, healthy pink tinge and doesnt smell burnt.
  8. I searched and didn't run across any topics that covered this so here goes. I've have v6 with an automatic and I'm wondering if my torque converter is flaking out. Here's the symtoms. Sometimes starting off it slips like crazy and I have to back my foot off or it just keeps slipping. It hesitates to shift into third when I need to merge with traffic and then shifts rather hard into it if I dont back off of the gas. At 55-70 mph it will strangely jump up a couple hundred rpm if I sink my foot a little in the gas or if I start to come to a hill then if I give it a little more gas it drops back down, give it even more and goes on and downshifts. It isn't dropping out of overdrive into 3rd, its just dropping/revving 200 or so rpm. My thoughts are that for some reason the torque converter is jumping out of being locked at those speeds. Anyways, thanks guys.
  9. Well, the installation of two 12 inch subs went rather well. I feel so juvenile with them turned up though.

  10. My wife bought me a 3 inch body lift kit for valintines day. Yeah, she rocks.

its in Florida at the moment , but it should be here in a couple of days!

  11. I wish sleep was an optional activity.

  12. Sweet, thanks for all the advice. I think I'll do it without the drop down bracket. It gets into the 100's in the summer here but judging from everyone else experience that shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully by the end of February I'll have the kit in hand.
  13. Not too far, I live in Longview. Man, I love the campus there, it's really cool.
  14. Do I need the radiator drop down bracket?
  15. I don't really feel the need to have an ARB airlocker in my front axle, why not just always have the front locked all the time? I don't live in a snowy area so if I'm in 4 wheel drive I'm not driving on icy/snowy roads where a locked front could be tricky. All my 4 wheeling is at slow speeds. So my question is, does someone make a locker for the front axle other than ARB?
  16. Has anyone used this kit? I was going to get this later this year but was wondering if anyone had used this kit and how it worked out for them. My link
  17. Well, last week I did it. I took my sway bars off and may I say Nissan did a very good job when they designed their system. HUGE difference. I feel like I'm driving a 1980 Cadillac with bad shocks. I haven't gotten to take it wheeling yet to see the difference but I'm curios to see the difference. Fun stuff. Anyone have recommendations of a good set of replacement shocks? I'm not too concerned with smoothness, I could stand it being a little rougher ride.
  18. Nice rims, what brand? I concur with everyone, that is one clean truck!
  19. Alright, well the cause of this sound is rather anticlimactic. I finally got out to the shop to jack the front end up and get the wheel off. Well, the bolts that hold the brake caliper on had come loose and the body of caliper was knocking against the inside of the rim. Got new bolts and used some locktight just to be safe. Drove it and no more clatter. Thanks guys for all the suggestions.
  20. yeah, I was looking at an upper ball joint and noticed some grease seeping out from around it. I also noticed it seems to want to drift all over the road, I need a new drag link too but it's gotten worse lately since this clattering has started.
  21. I replaced my tension rod bushings a month ago so I know those are good. I got underneath and gave everything a look over and I didn't see anything out of the norm. No loose shocks or anything bent that I could see.
  22. I was wheeling today and towards the end of it I noticed a kind of metallic clattering/knocking/bonking sound coming from my front driver-side wheel when I would go over small bumps on the access roads at about 15/20 MPH. It doesn't make a sound on the road or at slower speeds. Any thoughts?
