Manual hubs locked all the time

I installed manual hubs on my 1995 Pathfinder.

In Winter, I lock the hubs all the time because from november to january, I need to use it almost once a day.

So I am wondering if that's bad to drive in 2WD like that?

And what about the gas mileage?

Thanks

Well the r50's drive like that all the time not just in the winter. (they also have reverse cut gears for the front)

Anyway, its been a habbit for many people including myself to do so in the winter or when going to the pass and no damage has come from it.

As far as MPG; expect 1/2~1 MPG less than you normally get.
