clunk noise

hey so ive got a clunk noise comming from my truck... it does it only when i am going slow, slowing down for a stop sign and if i gas it, it feels like the rear end.... been getting louder and more frequent within the last few month

 

any ideas? is the rear end messed up bearings or gearing?

Trailing arm bushings are a known failure point and allow the rear axle to shift.

were would that be on the rear axle..on the upper links?

Well you can OEM ones from places like Courtesy Nissan....or 4x4parts.com seems to be the only game in town for poly ones. I want OEM when I did them in 2004....redid this year with the one piece poly ones from 4x4parts.com They have 2 piece ones too which are easier to get in...once you get the old ones out. PS. do a search LOTS of threads on here about this.

Check your muffler to resonator exhaust first for rusted-loose piping.

 

Then wiggle your rear control arms for any play. Here's the pinned link for that:
