Guest M-lights
I just got a 98 QX4. After reading two topics on here Im still confused. What is the largest tire I can fit in my wheel well on the stock rims? I was thinking about 245/75/16 or 265/75/16 or 255/70/16 or 265/70/16 with the Bridgestone Revo's. Which of thses sizes would fit with stock suspension without having to worry about rubbing? Any assistance would be highly appreciated. Guest M-lights
Oh yeah, in consideration to Load ratings. Does it matter if I get SL, C, or E loads?

lbinh
I have 255/70/16 Goodyear Fortera HL editions on my '01 LE. No rubbing at all. Heard you can go to 265/70/16 with slight rubbing at full steering lock going in reverse. Check out www.tirerack.com for tire spec guides for your application. Mark
I used to have 265/70/15 on my '96 Pathy and went even bigger to 31" x 10.5" R15 and still have no rubbing. Depends on your suspension and wheels, too.
senshido
I got 265/70 16 Revos on my 98 QX4. No rubbing ever, but gas mileage sucks a**
Pezzy
from that above link: this size of the front brake rotors won't allow safe usage of 15" rims... any more info on that? I have a spare set of 15" pathy rims I was planning on using... maybe I have to give them up to my better half?? (noooooooo!!) (mine is a 99.5 XE w/ 16's now)
