Delete Primary O2?

Has anybody with a VG30i completely disconnected their primary o2 sensor? I know some people have done this to stabilize FI with a fouled o2 sensor on an LS1. I have no PCV valve, running VTA so its running rich with the lack of the unmetered leak it seems.

 

 

IIRC a cruise control vac line was unhooked when I got about 21 mpg, now with it connected its 8mpg.

the VG30i should only run one O2 sensor, and as far as I know, is needed for the computer to properly administer the proper fuel mixture. if you're only getting 8mpg, you have other big issues that should be fixed and not covered with a band-aid.
