kafercup
My stock radio just died today I checked the fuse in the main box and it checks out fine. I also pulled the deck and the harness is getting full power at the plugs. The factory manual shows a fuse at the back of the deck, but mine doesn't have one there. The only thing that was done today was the battery being removed and replaced with a new fresh one. I'm thinking that maybe a diode or something popped in the deck. I looked in the manual and don't see any mention of any kind of code or reset procedure like newer cars have. Any ideas? If it is dead, does anyone out there have a nice factory am/fm - cassette deck for a 92 they want to sell? I've considered moving up to a nice aftermarket deck, but prefer the low profile stock look in this truck.
JesseLivingston
My advice is too let the old one go respectfully. I know it was a really nice lookin stock deck, but they have become so cheap these days I'd suggest saving your frustration for bigger projects! Good luck.
