although I'm not in extreme cold, when my starter went out like a month ago it did the same thing, it was sporadic. I could go out and turn the key 4-5 times and get nothin, next day turn the key and it started up just fine. It's not too bad puttin in a new one if you got the cash

Hell my 95 does that,has always done it and will always do that.Click,click,click...grrr-vroom...brat-brat-brat...

But mine has gotten better,it used to be that I would have to wait like ten minutes and turning the key the intire time,but now its 5 turns at most when it acts up.On mine its the little plunger valve thats on it will some times not retract all the way so its not engaging the starter...
