Hi everyone, I had a problem with replacing the ignition distributor of my Nissan Pathfinder (1995, XE V6), the mechanic who was in charge to replace it had a serious issue and is out of town indef., the problem rises that he totally forgot to mark the position of the ignition distributor and now I have to take the car to other shop due to this irksome problem, I have the new ignition distributor in the box, and the only reference I have of the original position is that was between one o'clock and two o'clock, how to I deal with this problem properly? What should I tell the next mechanic? how to properly explain what in earth happen?

Thanks for your valuable help in advance

Well being a mechanic I would say tell him the background but between the one and two o'clock position should suffice. There is some adjustment room to fine tune so nothing too scary to think about. They should be able to crank the engine over to number one anyway and get it done that way anyway...hope that helps!
