jroddvette
i have a 97 Pathfinder SE 4 wheel drive with a 5-speed manual transmission. i'm looking to change my transmission, transfer case, & differential fluids. but i would like to know what fluid i should use. i can get redline & royal purple fluid for a good deal through my work but i would use other brands if they are any better. can you guys tell me what i need? (redline 75w90? MTL?) i live in CT. and it gets pretty cold in the winter if that matters. thanks, Jared
nismothunder
Ams oil is good,go to there sit and check them out for what you need. Check out the severe gear 75-90,it has a fanfreaking tasstic cold flow rating, better then royal purple and redline(this is for like -40 though) Edited November 6, 2009 by nismothunder
MY1PATH
appearantly your search fluid needs changed as well. I use Redline mt90 (nissan tranny GL4 spec ONLY) in my 5spd and my t-case, and redline 75-90 GL5 in my diffs. Very smooth even on the coldest of snowy days.
