5 speed 97 here.

i have a 97 Pathfinder SE 4 wheel drive with a 5-speed manual transmission. i'm looking to change my transmission, transfer case, & differential fluids. but i would like to know what fluid i should use. i can get redline & royal purple fluid for a good deal through my work but i would use other brands if they are any better. can you guys tell me what i need? (redline 75w90? MTL?) i live in CT. and it gets pretty cold in the winter if that matters. thanks, Jared

does anyone know where i can get the radio buttons for my 97 pathfinder? my seek up button fell/broke off and my girls maxima is missing a few buttons too. thanks, jared

does anyone have pics of their pathfinder without any side bars? my 97se bars are rusted and i think i'm going to just take them off, but i want an idea of how it will look. thanks, jared

the swaybar and the end links are different. the links are at each end of the swaybar. they run vertically and connect to a bracket on the strut. take a look and you will see what i mean. if you can have someone push on the front of your truck to make the clunk, then hold the end link and see if that is the problem. jared

well, i checked my sway bar link and there was play in it. i replaced it and the noise is gone. but, it was a b*tch of a job. i had to cut the old one off with a cutting wheel. i hope this info helps you guys. thanks for your help! jared.

so was the noise the end links or the two mounting bushings? good luck with your inspection.

does anyone know how i can wire my factory fog lights to turn on with the parking lights? they only work with the headlights right now. thanks, jared

hey guys, i am getting a knocking noise from the passenger front suspension. it happens when i go over uneven ground, and it sounds like something is swinging around under the truck. i can also get it to make the noise by pushing on the front passenger fender. i have gotten under the truck and had someone push on the fender to see if i could find the problem, and i think it is the front strut. has anyone else had this problem?
