Donnavon Posted October 13, 2009 Share Posted October 13, 2009 (edited) ok, so I have a CEL and it is the EGR, so I pulled the unit and cleaned it seems to work smooth. now there are three things in this system how do you test them? the EGR Valve - check if this holds vacuum? the BPT valve - ? The Control solenoid - ? KovemaN Posted October 15, 2009 Share Posted October 15, 2009 (edited) It goes from the BPT to the egr and it WILL fail on all D21/WD21s eventually. Nearly every single one I have worked on (KA24 and VG30) has had a hole in that hose. It's a schitty rubber tube that has to handle hot exhaust gas. WTF were they thinking?
