:scratchhead: I thought it boosted the octane. :shrug: But yeah, leaving it in the oil for a long period of time can be very bad.

i had to run high octain bcz of the turbo. if you don;t get enough fuel (or too low of an octain rating) to compansate for teh amount of air being forced in it can detonate. and w/ the oil beign thinned out a bit it will tend to run a bit hotter than normal when being pushed hard. and not gettign proper lubrication from the thinned out oil. that;s why when infectors start to get clogged it can be detrimental to the engine.
