Sometimes when I go from forward, to reverse my transmission grinds. The T-case is in 2H, so that's not an issue. I can tell you right now though, I drive a lowboy trailer, and honestly I'm rough on that truck haha. And of course I bring that roughness home. Am I grinding up my trans?

Humm...stick auto?

If its a auto I would add a transcooler to it and change the filter as soon as possble.

If its a stick then change the fluid and see if it goes away.If not then the clutch is possbly worn or the fly wheel needs to be machined.
