muffler bracket rust out?

my muffler swinging away, the bracket rusted out.

 

has this happened to anyone else?

 

should i fix it or go with a exhaust?

exhaust, the muffler shop will just make a new one anyways

This just recently happened to me. I used a muffler shop. They resleaved the fitting connecting the resonator to the muffler. Cost me $80, and took them about 1/2 an hour.

Happened to me a few years ago, took it to a muffler shop. Pretty much same as Scott, like $80 and a half hour of time. They just sleeved a new tube and fixed it right up. Of course it is all rusting again now.

I have the same issue at the moment. Just going to wait and do full stainless.

do what i did, rip it ALL OFF!!! and start over. once the muffler starts to droop, the rest is on its way... my resonator fell off (when it was towed off the freeway), the pipe between it and the muffler a few days later, and the muffler about 2 weeks after the resonator came off.
