ADVICE ON 99 Pathfinder buy - 130KMiles

Need your help in deciding a BUY. Nissan 99 XE. Vehicle has 130,000 miles. What problems can I expect with Pathfinder with these high miles.

i have a 96 XE with 130k miles on it and the only problem ive ever had is an exhuast leak on the manifold. other than that its been chuggin along quite nicely, especially since im a pizza delivery guy and shes seen some tough, tough times.

If the suspension hasn't been dealt with by the previous owner, that will be an issue. Plan to get new shocks, struts, and rear bushings. Other than that (and the manifold leak, which is a much smaller issue on the R50's than on older pathys), there is really nothing specific to look out for. Just check out normal things, how its running, emissions, etc.

130K isn't really too high miles for a Pathy. Maybe for the year, about 22K per year (if as a 99 it was sold in 98), but it should keep going for a LONG time to come.

Do make sure the timing belt was changed. It should have been at 105K, but if it wasn't, that can cause some HUUUGGGEEEEE problems for you in the very near future.
