RS999010 Rancho Shock Question

Recommended Posts

I'm in the process of installing the rear shocks on my 96....I using the Rancho RS999010 for a Dodge Durango.....None of the inner metal sleeves (that slide into the bushings) that came with the shocks fit over the metal stud that the shock is suppose to attach to. What happens if you don't use the sleeve?

One of the larger sleeves fits over the bolt but is too long...cut it shorter! I don't know what happens if you don't use the sleeve but I will let you know since my 01 couldn't fit a sleeve on either mounting point.

I know there is one that fits... I had to press fit it using a vise... Take one that the bolt will fit tight and that it is a little bigger than the bushing hole...

On the 96, the sleeves are only for use on the lower shock mount on the axle. The bushing slides directly over the metal stud on the body.
