Cylinder Head Bolts

I searched for a bit and couldn't find this tidbit, so I am posting this up for future reference for everyone.

 

I am in the process of rebuilding a 95 for my wife, and needed to buy some headbolts. I normally only shop on www.rockauto.com because of the great prices and whatnot. I was surprised to find that they do NOT have head bolts for the 90-95 pathfinder, however they DO have head bolts for the 96 and up. I then began a google search to see if anyone carries the ones I needed. I was dissapointed to say the least.

 

I checked and doublechecked in FAST and the 90-95 head bolt Part Number is 11056-V5000 for the quantity 18 size, and the number for the quantity 8 size is 11056-21V01.

 

According to FAST, 11056-V5000 is fully interchangeable with Part Number 11056-V5004, which is the Part Number of the VG33E head bolt!

Also, 11056-21V01 is fully interchangeable with 11056-21V02 also for the VG33E.

 

There are a few interchangeability codes in FAST and the 100% compatible cod is ICA 2. These headbolt references are ICA 2 compatible.

 

So in summary, the head bolts from the R50 VG33E are 100% compatible with the WD21 head bolts, according to Nissan FAST.
