Broken Stud or cracked manifold

ive had a passenger side manifold leak for about a month now, my question is... My leak goes away after about 2 to 5 min of driving, does that mean it is a crack in the manifold or does that mean its a broken stud, or possibly both, or on the rare occasion a gasket inbetween the y pipe

I would advise as long as the ticking goes away in a couple of minutes you are just fine. You can ignore it. However if the ticking does not quit, then check for something else. I have a blown motor because I thought it just was the manifold stud. :P

Mine used to make like a tapping noize from a broken stud and it would only do it untill the engine warmed up cuz of metal expansion sealed the imperfection but i got it fixed and its smooth sounding with the flowmaster 40s and 2/1/2 in pipe from the | |>-- connection back
