new pathy parts on older paties?

can u put newer (00-04) path finder seats and tires (tires and rims--is the lug nut pattern the same?) on 88' pathfinders? :gossip:

Seats? I doubt it. Tires? Tires are tires... if they're the right size for your wheels, sure! Wheels? I'm not sure.

You could probably use the seats, worst case senario is that you have to make new mounts wich if you have no fabrication ability then i think you'ld be SOL

Well yeah, I suppose you could use just about anything with new mounts. I can't fab stuff worth crap, so if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. =D

seat mounts, as far as the front should all be the same from 87-95 ... no need to fabricate anything for the front ...

I was thinking it could be fun to grab some sports car seats or something for the front, especially since my driver's side one is getting pretty tired. But then the boneyards seem to think seats are made of gold or something. Who knows...

The general problem with boneyards is how they price things. They usually want a percentage of the part if it were new. Now new seats are very expensive based on the fact that they seldom need replacing and that every seat seems to be a bit different than the next, (color, texture, etc) Every try to find the same seats in different years.

 

What you need to find is a recycling yard who understands that demand is not too high for these seats. Or are you looking at the high end sport car seats that everyone wants?

I keep looking at those reclinable bucket/sports type seats on ebay and thinking hmm, maybe. Their about $150 US for a set, and they look pretty good!!
