Keyless entry remote

Hey i looked around fora while but didnt see much on this. Do you guys recommend only using the factory remote for keyless entry? I was sold a car pathfinder with out the remotes and need want to buy one but I dont want to pay the 45 bucks for a new one when i can get this one....

will the trunk and alarm button work if not i guess i mine as well just get the factory black one wit hthe 2 buttons for 45 bucks from courtsy parts. I need this answered quick because my door locks are starting to get worse and worse i feel like im going to grt locked out soon. They never want to turn inside. I have tried lubing them up and it worked for like a day or 2 then they get really hard to turn so im just geting the remote.

 

If i dont get the one in the top link im going to order the factory one from here

I'm new to the whole remote thing myself. While it seems to work fine, I dread the day it gives me problems.

 

My remote looks exactly like the second $43 link. While I know very little about the in's and out's, is it worth $10 for possible compatibility issues?

My 'factory' unit unlocks everything and has not given me any problems.

ok i guess i will just get the factory one then cu ik it will work. My only fever is if my remote receiver even works because the security light just flashes really really fast all the time no matter what even if i have it switched to off.

There are a few threads about dealing with the remotes/alarm system. Search around a bit and I'm sure you will find some info.

well i just ordered it i hope it works even though my alarm doesnt seem to if not i guess i got some messing around to do under my driver seat. Anyone know if this will affect it?
