dkpath96
I am having a new speed sensor installed in my '96 pathy next week. The trouble code pointed to the VSS, along with the fact that the speedometer, odometer, and trip meters all quit at once last week. My question is two-fold: does the speedometer/odometer ever need re-calibrated after such a repair, so as to remain accurate in telling speed and mileage, or does the vehicle do that by itself? Secondly, if I were to get a larger radius tire, would this also require a re-calibration of the VSS? Just curious...
sw
if someone knows better feel free to correct me to the best of my knowledge vss's dont need to be calibrated, you buy it for your model vehicle and your set to go you dont have to chage your vss for bigger tyres, you can if you want.... (not sure how you would go about it) your speedo will be out with bigger tyres but its only slightly, 2 or 3 km/hr unless your puttn like 35's upwards on a daily driver its not worth it just my $0.
