Im 99.9% sure my sons Pathifinders Halfshafts are shot. When driving, all of a sudden, the right side locks up, and the tire actually skids, very bad, we bought it in this condition pretty cheap and has been a work in progress. Im wondering it it couldnt be a wheel bearing also?

it locks up hard and will barely make a u turn.

Unless it only does it in 4wd then it probably isn't the half shafts. Might be a bad or dry auto hub if it will lock up then free up again. Usually if bearings go, you stop and can not go at all because they seize up and heat weld.
