ajspath Posted August 4, 2008 Share Posted August 4, 2008 turning on the AC heats up my 93 pathy almost immediately. turning it back off returns it to normal operating temperature. also, there is a small puddle of dark purple oily substance near the base of my radiator. autotransmission oil dipstick shows a good level. what's going on? thanks in advance. k9sar Posted August 5, 2008 Share Posted August 5, 2008 does the purple oily substance match in color to the AT fluid on your dipstick? If so, you have a leak in your AT cooler which is built into your radiator. If not, you may have a leak in your AC. The purple may be a leak-detector that was added to the system.
