performance ECU ...... snake oil?

Hi Everyone. I was browsing Pathfinder stuff posted eBay and came upon this "performance" Zoom ECU. The auction description explains the logic behind the working of their ECU: basically dupes the car into thinking that the air coming is always cold.

1) Will the thing do anything at all?

2) If it does do anything, will it lead to premature engine wear/damage? (my engine has 125k on it, and I am more concerned with longevity, though a little extra juice would be nice)

Click here for the eBay auction.......

(I am not at all affiliated with the people selling this thing-a-majig)
