Late model Hardbody Hood

Ok, I'm certain it's been covered, but I can't find anything with the search feature...

 

Will a late model HB (95-97) hood fit the WD21?

 

I'd like to go ventless, maybe even aftermarket, but one of the companies I'm looking at sez their hoods won't fit the pathy.

I can figure out why. I don't want to take their word for it, but I don't want to blow $$$ on something I can't use.

 

Thoughts?

the last year for the wd21 was 95 so 96-97 won't work the 87-95 wd21 hoods should be interchangeable and I'm pretty sure the HB hood will fit too (i want to get one and put on my 87 b.c I think it looks much better) but I'm not sure what year they stopped the D21 but yea the whole front clip should interchange from the HB to the pathy with the exception of the grill which can be done if you get the sealed beam headlights

 

got to a JY and measure the hoods check their connection points and see if it'll work

Nono, not the 96+ Pathfinder. I'm talking about the 95-97 Hardbody... HB.

They sold the D21 pickup until 1997 here in the US (it's still sold in Mexico).

The hood changed to the ventless style in the late 90's. Nissan lists the part for the 95-97 truck.

 

I understand that the clips are interchangeable. However, I have (for reasons stated above) questions about whether the late model hood will work.

 

Finding a Nissan truck in a JY here is a shot in the dark. Folks don't let go of them easily; usually because they ran it into something, which is great for rear-end parts but leaves me screwed for a hood.

I'm going to have to replace most of the dog-house, but I don't see any reason to be normal about it.

I'm thinking of using a shallow cowl hood, wider fenders, Mexican corner lights and a black phantom grill. Then I'll herc the whole shoot'n match and call it a wrap.

yea I didn't know they continued the D21 after 95 I thought it switched over to the frontier in 96 but I guess it was 98

 

if you want to take about an hr and a half drive....go to pull apart...htey have a 95 and a 97...the 97 may still have parts b/c it was dropped on the lot a month ago..

This is my pathy. I found a reciept saying that it was a 95 HB hood in the glove box the other day so....
