gnarley/crunchy noise at low RPM...

ok, @ low RPM there is a raspy sound creeping up from, i guess mid chassis. it's no secret that i've crawled over a rock w/ my exauhstbut it all seems solid, pluss there is a slight struggle and the raspy sound when i first start it up....

this is killing me guys... some things that i am concerned aboot are

a. the tranny

b. the torque converter

c. fuel pump and or injector

 

anyone had this problem?

without hearing this sound etc... hard to tell, but I have a Ford tk that does this chattering like noise on start up and it's the torque conv. and plate hittinh the housing a bit. Since you say you've banged rock check there.... good luck
