  7. So here it is, due to a 3" hose ripping right in the rear of thr engine block carrying coolant I over heated yesterday, ( temporary fgix was using some of the overflow hose for the ride home.) Anyway I've replaced the hose now but I'm noticing a ticking noise, I'm pretty sure all th vac hoses are ok back there, here's my worry, could the engine over heating dammage my almost brand new head gasket? Has this senario ever happened to any one? Thanks guys you always come through! Gabriel.

  14. It finally went...my starter, it had failed a time or two b4, but for some divine reason, it came back.. well today, no such luck. but ./ this out, there is a kill switch, usually a tap on that and things are good to go, well damn it, I still got no crank... had a buddies jump- box, ( you know the last glimmer of hope...) ...nope. so the arduous task of outing the starter begins, what a nightmare. 19. yeah so, I turn the truck on last night, and the brake light in the top left corner of the inst. panel stays on, but the E-brake is down as far as it goes and there is no wheel tension like when it is engaged. what to do?
  20. well, I use my Finder for work- it is a reliable source of income... so, as you know a 6-day-a-week jobby will cost in the realm of $100/wk, oh and I tow my 4000 lb ski boat to the lake every single day off, though the war finance petrol -program is a pain in the ass, the local wallet area I WOULD NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS SELL 'ER...EVER! -----heart racing----- EVER!
  21. The legacy of the truck that was the love of my life came to a rolling stop on thursday night, on the Mopac Expressway in Austin. My Green 92 'finder was in trouble, the diagnosis, grim, internal transmittion, cost: $2200 from AAMCO. I was devestated. Faced with the delema of repairing my loved one or moving on was almost to much and with pressure from my girlfriend to do the sensible thing, I decided, to not repair my baby, my trusty companion, the wind benieth,... well, you get the idea. Then with my heart in my hands, I began the short trip home, when there accross the intersection, in a corner lot with a big green 92 - 4X4 for sale, was this... could this, it was as if the clouds parted the heavens shone thru, on this perfect being, immediatly i entered the lot, fighting the tears of joy, the sales man must have seen me comming, he met me at the truck amongst all the other cars. all that was absent was the rolled out red carpet. in a matter of hours there was a big gold 4wheel drive band-aid on my aching heart. That my freinds is devine intervention, karma, however your convictions translate it, good things can, and do happen, in this club! however, I an still facing the sad fact that i have a truck that does not run to deal with, there are some things I will obviously X-fer over to my new Pathfinder, some small interion items and stereo systen that I installed, but as for the rest of the truck, should i donate it to a charity, sell it as is, if anyone has any suggestions please post 'em. -and shaere this tale of good fortune with all. :type:
