Spacer Mounting Help

Well, I put in new KYBs this weekend and was trying to install my 1" spacers but I couldn't get the bolts out of the upper mounting plate. How hard are they to get out? I was gonna really hammer on them but I was afraid I might bend the mount and ruin it. Is there an easier way? Could I just grind the bolts off?

Hammer the h*** out of them, they pop out just like wheel bolts/lugs. They are pressed in and you may bend the plate a little, unless you get several sharp cracks at them...don't miss! Lol.

If you have a press, put a socket thats bigger then the bolt on the "head" side of the bolt and they pop right out. They're just like wheel studs.

I agree with nissandoms47. I just used a socket and my bench vise, worked great!

yup...i took a 2 lb sledge and found a good place to site the upper strut mount on so the spring doesn't absorb the shock and it took two whacks per bolt
