gixxaben Posted February 27, 2008 Share Posted February 27, 2008 hi all am new to the site, and just gto my hands on an 88 2dr pathfinder which i swapped for my mini truck i was having a look under the chassis to familerise myself with it and noticed this the upper control arm is rubbing against the shock is this normal?? im guessing the previous previous owner must of accidently mounted them on the wrong sides or are they from another vehicle can any1 post up a pic of the front end to the see difference please thanks Ben Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TerranoNZ Posted February 27, 2008 Share Posted February 27, 2008 You know that's probably the only pic I don't have I could be wrong (it's happend once before), but I'm sure there is no left or right shock. Maybe they are too fat. Maybe someone has chopped the bumpstops allowing more travel. Can't really see alot in that pic. 88pathoffroad Posted February 27, 2008 Share Posted February 27, 2008 Aftermarket shocks typically do contact the upper control arm if they're larger than stock size.
