98 XE AT tranny pan capacity

Ive tried a search and cant find my answer I just changed the fluid in my 98 Pathy XE with AT and was wondering the capacity of the pan as I want to make sure that i didn't over fill my tranny? thanks

The book says 8 3/4 qts for 2wd and 9 qts for 4wd.

BTW, that is complete system capacity. If you only drained the pan you probably only removed 3-4 quarts at the most. The torque converter will hold some along with the lines to the cooler and back that will not drain when you pull the pan/drain plug.
