The only difference I know if is it helps prevent rotting of the inside of the tire from moisture because supposedly near-pure nitrogen air doesn't contain as much moisture *shrugs*

I'm doin my torsion bars tonight... wish me luck! I start in about 10 minutes!

I got the drivers side torsion bar done... took me 3 hours. Half of which was fixing the fact that it was installed slightly different and looked all wrong. *shrugs*

The passenger side looks right and should be much, much easier now that I know wtf I'm doing :D

I would think the tire will wear out from natural wear and tear long before they rot-out from the inside out.

The set of tires that were on my pathy when I bought it back in 2001 eventually just dry-rotted from the outside....I just replaced them last year because they were no longer stable and out of round. they were 1998 and 1999 year tires. I'd say thats a pretty darn good lifetime for a tire :)

I'm still running a set from 97 on my 88 that were on my 93 when I bought it. They have about 1/8" over the wear bar still. 2 of the tires have had nails in them and got plugged, and they are just starting to dry rot a little.
