Do you use Injector Cleaners at all? Some of them are pure @!*% and shouldn't even be on the market... but the good ones do you a LOT of good.

Bad quality fuel can do it to... and letting your tank go near-empty allows a lot of the sludge and @!*% in the bottom of the tank to get into the injector system... my truck had this problem a while... ran injector cleaner thru it 4 times in a row and it very quickly solved itself :)

Also - tell them you WANT the old injectors...

Yes... tell them you want ALL the parts they said they replaced... tell them that, should they be "unable" to give them to you for ANY reason, that they can collect the cost of the labor and parts for whatever parts they cannot produce to give to you from you in court, or they can forget about it.

A lot of places try to rip people off like that... it's a damn shame :(

My truck does this thing where as you accelerate it sort of lurches and you loose all power. -Badiceman

same thing is happening to me ... also has trouble starting it will start but idle low or jump -exploited789

Had these exact problems on my 87. All it needed was a forty dollar ignition coil and it's running again like a champ.

This problem is really starting to bug me and cost me a lot of money! The car lurches=lack of fuel. Lack of fuel=clogged injectors. Replaced injectors and they clog again. Injector cleaner fixes temporally. Car sat for a long time. Crap in fuel tank from sitting is re-clogging injectors? Take to shop have fuel tank flushed? Maybe that will fix?

Any ideas?

Aight, stop driving it for the moment:

Possible causes I can think of :

Sludgy oil / Fuel - remedy - drop oil pan and gas tank, clean em out, flush the lines. Removes injectors and have them blown out, clean spark plugs, and inside of cylinders. That should remove any and all residue. Hit up a new oil and fuel filter.

This is just from reading over my tech manual for my auto mechanics class... tis a possibility.
