Any Tips,with reguards to replacing ball joints?

I'm going to have my upper&lower ball joints replaced next week,well I would rather do it my self,but when searching for a possible (how-to) I had no luck,for the members who have replaced their own could you offer any tips?maybe what tools you preferred using.

On a side not,i replaced the two front door handles and guts,I can get into the ride without using the back door.LOL!!

here is some related info. get a haynes or chiltons. i've worked with those on all kinds of cars without any problems. $15-20 at your local auto parts store.
