can a 99-02 quest alternator be retrofitted to fit 91 pathfinder?

Just curious, I know plenty of people have retrofitted alternators to fit their pathys. I only saw one 125 amp retrofitted to an r50. Is there that much difference that you could not do it to a wd21 pathy?

That is what i was going to do, However when pricing alternators at the auto parts store I found that the 125 amp out of the 99-02 quest was 40 bucks cheaper. than the 110 amp ..

 

I don't want to pay more for less amps. I went to the auto yard last weekend and there was not a quest to be found from any year.
