Where did insanium get his roots blower from? Wasn't it his that sat in the factory airbox location? There is a lot that he had to do to get ponies as I vaguely recall...bigger injectors and different timing...then a wideband and an A/F controller would be helpful.

Better yet...does anyone remember reading about a computer flash from the dealer that would add a couple ponies and 1 mpg to the truck?? I remeber reading that a guyin a QX4 did this, unfort I did not save the thread.

There was a local Nissan guy selling an Xterra supercharger....

Xterra (VG33E) supercharger

Here's an email reply he sent me:

"that (Xterra)blower will bolt up to any VG block with that (Xterra) upper plenum i have for sale w/it, all VG upper plenums bolt to lower manifolds..most VG30 guys i know swap to your plenum ;) its just a matter of your pulley and tensioner. you would need to buy a VG33ER crank pulley (im guessing they're different, call nissan to find out) and belt tensioner. from there it would be intake to pass CA emmisions (unless you're smart like me and smog in an exempt county..) and an ECU retune. im not to sure about injector size to be honest but i have some bosch 400 something CC injectors i could toss in as i dont really need em anymore. they set me back 100 bucks but eh, its just collecting dust now ;) as far as bottom end goes, im sure the ER uses lower compression pistons to cut back on detonation, but really the compression ratio is already fairly low on a VG motor, not to mention that that blower doesnt really push a whole hell of a lot of air. i have this listed on 2 frontier forums in the for sale sections if you want to see how its setup...or you could swing by and have a look. i disassymbled it and took it off the motor stand this weekend but it only takes a few minutes to put back together just to see how it looks.. and most 'nissan board guys' are freakin pin heads that love bolt on crap and wouldnt know a valve seal from a valve stem! lol attached are some photos. obviously that wouldnt work with the throttle body right off the blower as you have other intake components, that was just there for looks. i actually made a 2.5" OD adapter to bolt on some intake piping for whatever your application is.
