The End Has Come, Or Has It?

Well, long time since I've been around, my little 8 month old procures most of that now. Anyway the tranny went yesterday, no signs or symptoms of a bad tranny, just zip and gone. Called el tow truck folks and told 'em to come get it (first time for everything). Man that was sad, 9 years she held up for me, sad to see her leave on the back of a tow truck. So now I'm contemplating the $2400 rebuilt tranny cost, I just wanted to vent, wish me luck

i have a perfectly good auto tranny sitting around. for practically nothing plus shipping she is yours. clearly less than a 2400 rebuild....just letting you know. if you want it its yours

I know I've sang this song before, but mine did the same thing and a mechanic friend of mine convinced me to drop the tranny pan, put clean oil and clean the filter and it worked......Still cheaper than $2400 to try.

manual swap could be a lot cheaper if you have time to acquire good cheap parts...
